Full-size landscape and portrait photos now natively supported on Instagram

Instagram is freeing its users from a square format prison. We have finally been given wings to fly with full-size landscape AND portrait images. Third-party apps that resize images for Instagram are probably really PO’d right now.

The square format is still available for Instagram purists, but now you can post your whole OOTD without cropping or adding pesky white space to the sides. So crucial!

It’s National Dog Day!

… Oh, and Women’s Equality Day

On August 26, both dogs and women’s equality were celebrated on the same day. Guess which one got more attention?

A quick conversation analysis of Twitter hashtags #WomensEqualityDay and #NationalDogDay (using Topsy.com) showed the vast difference between the two (the blue is #NationalDogDay):

On August 24, Mark Zuckerberg wrote a post on his wall, saying, “We just passed an important milestone. For the first time ever, one billion people used Facebook in a single day. On Monday, 1 in 7 people on Earth used Facebook to connect with their friends and family.”

Let the scale of 1 billion people sink in – 1 in 7 people ON THE PLANET EARTH logged into the social network in one day.

Zuckerberg is probably on a celebratory shopping spree for gray T-shirts. Go ahead, Zuck. You deserve it.
